Integrating lived experience with clinical expertise, the presenter sheds light on the realities of PMDD and equips clinicians with up-to-date knowledge and strategies to more effectively and compassionately respond to treat those living with Premenstrual Disorders.
Differentiate: Describe at least two key differences between Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD).
Assess: Identify two or more considerations that can be integrated into an intake protocol to improve socio-cultural responsiveness or diagnostic clarification for clients with a menstrual cycle.
Apply: Learn two evidence-based treatment options for that reduce isolation, stress, anxiety and depressive symptoms associated with PMDD.
Advocate: Recognize at least one advocacy step to disrupt menstrual health stigma or inequity as a mental healthcare professional.
