Course Objectives

Bullying in the digital age has resurfaced as a major mental health risk for children and adolescents. Learn evidence-based strategies to protect youth, support recovery, and strengthen resilience across individual, family and school settings.

  • Define bullying & cyberbullying under state law.

  • Identify risk and protective factors.

  • Review evidence-based assessment tools, clinical interventions, and prevention models.

  • Implement individual, group, family, and school-based interventions through case study discussions.

  • Navigate ethical and legal responsibilities.

About the Presenter

Andy Kind-Rubin, Ph.D.

Child Psychologist

Dr. Kind-Rubin is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist who has worked in the field of child and family mental health for over 30 years. Originally from New York, he earned his bachelors from Haverford College and masters and doctorate from the University of Virginia. Dr. Kind-Rubin has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient and partial hospital settings, schools, and private practice. He works as a CGRC Professional Development Educator to meet the various needs of professionals within the mental health field. Dr. Kind-Rubin is a certified trainer for the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program and has presented on Bullying and the Olweus model for school districts and communities throughout southeastern PA.

Madeline Kling, MA, R-DMT

Registered Dance Movement Therapist

Madeline (Maddy) Kling, MA, R-DMT, is a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist currently practicing with The Understory Group, where she provides outpatient dance/movement therapy for individuals and families. She holds a Master’s in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University and a Bachelor’s in Dance and Human Development & Family Studies from Colorado State University. Maddy integrates attachment-based, systemic, and feminist approaches into her work, emphasizing person-centered care and community connection. Her leadership and advocacy experience spans roles in student outreach, diversity, and inclusion groups, where she developed skills in presenting, organizing, and coalition-building. Passionate about making movement-based healing accessible, Maddy is committed to helping clients build sustainable change through embodied, creative, and trauma-informed practices.
