Course Objectives

Help clients or students see their experiences from new angles, practice alternative responses, and access emotions using psychodrama tools. This blended training provides the ethical foundation and hands-on experience to integrate drama-based techniques into behavioral interventions across diverse practice settings.

  • Apply selected psychodrama techniques (e.g., role-play, doubling, empty chair) in ways that align with client goals, clinical judgment, and professional scope.

  • Adapt psychodrama-informed interventions for diverse client populations, with attention to developmental, cultural, and emotional considerations.

  • Maintain emotional and physical safety during experiential interventions by applying ethical guidelines and clear professional boundaries.

  • Clarify the clinician’s role when using psychodrama techniques as therapeutic tools rather than facilitating full psychodrama sessions.

  • Use reflection and debriefing practices to evaluate effectiveness and adjust interventions as needed.
